You are now watching: PilotLite Update

Hello everyone!

We thought you might be interested to know what the PilotLite team has been busy with lately. With the Second Quarterly Contest delayed until January 15, 2009 - we have lots of time now to give the site a few needed boosts! For one, we’re seeking out a team of content providers that will fuel the site with additional content alongside the more traditional Quarterly Contest Entries. The supplementary content will range anywhere between a simple news feed to comedic video shorts. This way, if you need a break, a short video breather, in between all of the mad hot PilotLite Quarterly Contest viewing action you’ll have somwhere to turn to.

On top of that there’s behind-the-scenes work going on involving sponsorships, podcasting and quite a bit more. Why is sponsorship important? Well, it helps us survive for one. But on another note, it will help garnish better prizes for future Quarterly Contest winners. I think we can all agree that’s a good thing, right?

“Wait, you there behind the keyboard, what did you say about ‘podcasting’?” you eloquently shout.

Oh yes, that. PilotLite is working on its own brand of Podcast which will begin covering all topics video-related. Yeah, we said it - all topics. video. related. Maybe that’s too big of a claim? At the very least, it’ll include the smart and snarky PilotLite staff putting in their two cents on current cinema, television and online content trends. What good movies came out this week? Anything worth watching on TV? What videos are making a big splash on and off PilotLite? The podcast will have all that and more. Much more. If not everything. Okay, probably not everything. But close.

If you were wondering what the hold up on the next slew of video contenders was - that’s it: supplementary video content, future contest preparation and dealing out our own brand of podcastic justice to the online world. Spoon.

Well, that’s all for now, but check in next week for more updates. Oh, and we promise to never again say “mad hot”. Ever.

Ciao,

PilotLite
